Before Nargis Fakhri became a Kingfisher Calendar Girl and even debuted in Bollywood with 2011 film Rockstar, she had auditioned for America's Next Top Model in 2004.
We all know Nargis Fakhri holds the tag of being the Kingfisher Calendar Girl. Her slender body and pleasing personality has won several hearts over the years. Ofcourse, we are talking about the model Nargis, and not the actor Nargis because in the acting department she has miles to go. Nevertheless, she has all the features perfectly matched to ‘top model’. Well, hold! She did try to be a top model many moons back. We stumbled upon a video where a 24-year-old Nargis is auditioning for America’s Next Top Model. And she looks so naive, that we are loving her.
The model-turned-actor might have become an integral part of Bollywood today, but she has a background. Nargis belongs to New York. One look at her, and we know she has the perfect model figure and carries herself like a diva. She is a total ramp girl and this was further confirmed when we came across a throwback video of Nargis auditioning for America’s Next Top Model, where she participated.
The 2004 video which surfaced shows a young Nargis trying to impress the judges with her confidence, despite fumbling with her words in the beginning. Though her reply when asked why she wanted to be a model, calling it ‘just a job’, didn’t impress the judges, they did find her body great. Nargis did manage to enter the show but eventually got eliminated in Cycle 3. In the video, she even revealed that she had participated in the hit reality show before, but got evicted in the semi-final round. The 36-year-old is trying to make a mark in Bollywood ever since her debut in 2011 film Rockstar. While the film got mixed reviews, it couldn’t help Nargis much in building her career. She has ever since been doing glamorous roles in films like Main Tera Hero, Housefull 3 and Azhar. But we don’t mind in giving her brownie points. After all, she is a fitness freak and her fans can die after her perfect figure. Right?
